For my 28th birthday present, Bradley took me back to Disneyworld! We stayed at Waldorf Astoria Orlando for 3 days. Our room was the Disney View 1 King bed deluxe room. I wake up every morning greeted with fresh coffee from Bradley in our room then head downstairs for the hotel’s breakfast buffet before we take the hotel’s complimentary shuttle to theme parks. We always end the night relaxing in the jacuzzi hot tub before ordering room service for dinner while enjoying our room’s beautiful view of Disneyworld. For more hotel room information, click here.
I did Disney College Program (DCP) in 2013 and I haven’t been back since. So this was a trip I really looked forward to. Disneyworld consists of 4 theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios. Since we came from LA, we decided to skip Hollywood Studios and spend more time in the other 3 parks. During my time at DCP, I worked at Magic Kingdom so I always had the late shift from 6pm to 2am giving me free time in the morning to explore the parks as much as I want to. So coming back here, I knew exactly which park I wanted to spend most time in and which ride I wanted to go on the most.
Tip – reserve your tickets way ahead of time so you could plan out your fast passes ASAP especially for popular rides like Avatar. You can also make reservations early like Cinderella’s Royal Table. I can’t believe I still haven’t been able to get a reservation there yet. But I did pick up a shift there one time and you will not be disappointed by how magnificent the inside of the castle looks.
On our first day, we decided to go to Animal Kingdom first since our flight arrived early morning and this is the smallest park requiring the least bit of walk. Of all the attractions here, we loved the Avatar flight of passage the most. We also really liked the Lion King show and there’s a clip of it down below.
On our second day, we went to Epcot International Food & Wine Festival! I had such a great time hopping from one world showcase to another eating good food and shopping for souvenirs. In fact, I bought so much stuff including an Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea set from the England pavilion, that they had to hold everything for me by the entrance as it was impossible to carry around the park with me.
We saved the best for last, we went to Magic Kingdom on our last day here. I worked at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight cafe (located in Tomorrow right by the castle where you get clear view of the fireworks) during my DCP days so this is my favorite park. I still remembered the first time I saw Frozen, before I even saw the movie, was when it was displaying on the castle during the fireworks. I stopped working after that, of course. Hehe
As we went during Christmas at Disney World, we attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party so there’s a clip of the fireworks show below. Watching the magical fireworks while they make fake snow down Main Street, it doesn’t get better than this.
