After spending 2019 Christmas in California, I flew back to Taiwan for Chinese New Year. The original plan was to go to Germany for the European Delivery; however, that got canceled due to covid. So I stayed in Taiwan for almost a whole year till November. I was feeling very homesick and wanted to go back to Cali and spend my birthday with my boyfriend. This was the first time I’ve traveled since the pandemic.
The airport was almost empty: barely any duty free stores or restaurants were open. Some people, including myself, were wearing hazmat suits. Majority were wearing face shields as well.
