It’s a village located in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps. The place is perfect for all seasons especially for skiing in winter and hiking in summer. Upon arrival, we were mesmerized by how charming the village was.
We arrived at Grindelwald late. We were supposed to spent the night at Lauterbrunnen but we weren’t happy with the hotel so we checked out a night earlier and drove to Grindelwald. This actually worked out perfectly because Grindelwald is in the Jungfrau Region and we were going to Jungfraujoch (Top of Europe) the next day so staying here the night before saved us time. We walked around Grindelwald’s high street and went to the most busy restaurant for dinner. We had Swiss cheese fondue with bread & potatoes for dinner at Bistro Memory inside Barrys Lounge and it was delicious! For restaurant information, click here.
We spent the rest of the night driving around the village and we noticed there were a lot of chalets for rental. In fact, I already found the chalet we will be staying at when we come back.
