STAY: Hotel Fairmont Le Montreux Palace

We took the Eurostar from Paris to Geneva then rented a SUV and drove across Lake Geneva to Montreux. Thus, marking the first day of our trip. We spent 5 days exploring some of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland! We spent our first night here in Montreux. As we visited during early March, the weather was so cold. Don’t be fooled by the sunny days: the mornings may be cool but the nights were straight-up freezing your butt off.

We stayed at the Fairmont Lake View Room which looks directly into stunning views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. In fact, we couldn’t help but feel sad as we stood on the balcony and watched the sunset. It was one of those moments when you were sad to see it end, if you know what I mean. The view from our hotel room was so gorgeous, we slept with the windows open so we can wake up to the sunrise.

The entire hotel has unobstructed view of Lake Geneva, everywhere we went had incredible views: the pool, restaurants, and guest rooms. This was the best Fairmont Hotel we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at a lot. They offered water bottles in the lobby for guests that are coming in and out, even the pool area was stacked with varieties of drinks and croissants (this was very important for me because I never remember to eat before a workout and always get light-headed afterwards). The hotel staff were also incredibly accommodating and welcoming, we’ve experienced exceptional customer service before but the staff here were above and beyond. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for a better trip.
