Santa Barbara Birthday

After picking up my brand new car from Downtown Los Angeles, Bradley surprised me with a trip as my early birthday present. We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara in the One Bedroom Suite Garden View. I loved this bedroom location so much, it’s right on the first floor with the beach on one side and the main pools on the other so it was very convenient us to get around the property without running around in the hotel villa maze.

As this trip happened during the pandemic, the hotel had implemented safety measures such as limiting the whirlpools to be used by one hotel room guest(s) at a time for social distancing. Although the hotel still hosted a lot of guests, not that many used the pools so we were able to swim around freely while taking lots of pictures. If you don’t know already, I LOVE room services on staycations especially when I’m staying in hotel suites so we ordered room services for dinner and breakfast like usual. Unlike usual, instead of displaying the food in an instagrammable settings, the foods were served in take-out containers due to covid safety measures.

It was such a memorable relaxing birthday staycation: relaxing in the jacuzzi whirlpools, watching the sunset on the beach, enjoying dinner by the burning fireplace, waking up to the birds chirping in the garden, hiking up the hill to catch the sunrise, enjoying breakfast on the patio, and beating Bradley in tennis. All in all, this staycation is definitely one for the books.
