Versailles

Upon arriving in Paris, we went straight to Palace of Versailles. Unfortunately, the train ride there wasn’t so pleasant – I got racially profiled by the train security. There were other people on the train as well but no one spoke up for me other than my boyfriend, of course. The whole experience was very uncomfortable and at one point I was genuinely scared for my safety.

So the day didn’t start off on a good note. At least, the palace was beautiful enough for me to forget about it for a while. I figured since I’m never coming back again, might as well take as many photos as I can.

After touring the palace, we rented a golf cart for 2 hours to tour the garden. This was the best decision ever since my feet were already sore from roaming the palace. Also, we were able to see a lot more of the grounds this way. We managed to visit most of the guest houses and cabins that were completely free of visitors.
